In our spiritual life it is important to continually be moving forward and growing stronger in our faith. In our relationships with family and friends, our connections grow as we talk with each other. We share dreams, desires, and struggles with them, they do the same, which causes our relationships to move forward and onward. The same is true in our relationship with God. We grow closer to God as we spend time talking to Him through prayer.
James 4:8 says, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” As we pray to our Heavenly Father, we draw closer to Him, and in turn, He draws closer to us.
As we communicate with God, we become more in tune with what He wants us to do and how He wants us to live. The deeper we get into prayer the easier it becomes for us to love others well, to make wise decisions and to become a light in a darkened world.
