Divine Peace

Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. John : 14:27

Our peace certainly is different from the world. The peace of God can be described as a tranquil state of appreciation and faith when submit to and trust the commandments of God.

It requires a mixture of humility and courage to experience God’s peace seeking beyond the abilities of our own understanding.

As I write this I think the world is in such chaos. There are so many distractions. Many people also full of themselves it’s impossible for them to find peace.

The peace of God transcends all understanding it is the harmony and calmness of body, mind, and spirit that supersedes any earthly circumstance.

As I’ve lived my life in chaos for over 35 years. I never thought I person could find any kind of peace. Raising my children, and taking care of my family. Dealing with every issue that came around. That was my purpose. I was not called to be at peace. That was just the way it was,and I just had to “suck it up” and deal with it alone.

Then I began reading Paul’s word in the Bible, of course after my children were raised and out of the house. Why, didn’t God save me from everything I had already been through? I didn’t know, God says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and not lean on your own understanding. All I knew was what I was doing was not working. So, I decided to do it God’s way. And imagine that, I found the peace, mercy, and grace I needed to heal every hurt I’ve ever had. It took time, and I’m out saying everything is perfect. But things are so much better with Jesus than not.

Nearly all the letters that Paul wrote in the Bible started with the phrase “Grace and peace to you from God our Father and Lord Jesus Christ.” Throughout scripture, you’ll find that peace is defined as a blessing from God and harmonious with His character.

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

If God is inherently peaceful, then to appreciate God is to live in His peace. The closer we move to Him, the more of His peace we can experience. Thankfully, the Bible provides us specific guidance about how to grow closer to Him.

May “The Grace and Peace With You From God Our Father And The Lord Jesus Christ.
