Today commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and other disciples following the Crucifixion, Resurrection, and Ascension of Jesus.
Pentecost comes from a Jewish harbors festival called Shavuot. A sound like a very strong wind that looked like a tongue of fire. Which then forced the Apostles speaking in foreign languages that were inspired by the Holy Spirit.
The Apostles prayed for 10 straight days before this came to pass.
We cannot expect to see God’s blessings until we are doing the will of God.
