Psalm 9
“ I will give thanks to You, Lord, with all my heart; I will tells of all your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.” Psalm 9:1-2
Through this verse The Holy Spirit will teach and empower us to defeat the enemy through praise, and “our testimony.” We will learn to replace discouragement, worry, and doubt, with faith and the joy of the Lord. This is God’s way to fight a battle.
Let every prayer be praise from this song, and that God fill us with faith and His peace.
“For You have maintained my right and my cause; you sat on the throne, judging in righteousness. You have rebuke the nations, You have destroyed the wicked; You have blotted out their name forever and ever.”Psalm 9:4-5
Our reason to rejoice in God’s promise that He is watching over us to maintain our cause, and defend us from every enemy. We need to worship with this promise, and the praise that it builds for our faith.
“ The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.‘ Psalm 9:9
Every prayer in this Psalm is praising God for promises given. This is the “telling of His marvelous works” that brings joy and His peace into our lives.
“ The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble; Those who know your name, crossing you, for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you,” Psalm 9:9-10
God is teaching us to “put our trust in Him.” We say, “we trust Him,” but now is the time to do it His way. Your mouth declaring and praising Him with the Words He gives us to express that trust.
“ be gracious to me, Lord; consider my affliction at the hand of those who hate me. Lift me up from the gates of death, so that I may declare all your praises. I will rejoice in your salvation.” Psalm 9;13-14
God wants us “telling of His praise“ to god’s people around us. This keeps us in His joy, His peace, and in His protection. Keep praying and praising Him with His promises. As this becomes part of you, you will “rejoice in the salvation of God every day.”
