How To Become Spiritually Strong

Do These 7 Simple Things Everyday To Be Spiritually Strong In The Lord.

1. Everyday. Every morning spend alone time with God. Read and Bible and pray, before you eat. If you have to go to bed a little earlier to be alone in the morning do it.

“Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place and prayed there.” -Mark 1:35

If you don’t know where to begin, I suggest starting in Psalms. These scriptures get strength and healing to us.

2. Everyday. Spend time feeding your spirit on sources other than the Bible. Read books that will help you grow your spirit. You cannot grow if you don’t feed your spirit.

If reading is hard for you, or if you don’t have time, listen to an audiobook, audio teaching, podcasters. When you feed your spirit you feed your your mind.

3. Everyday. Spend time in quietness. When your quiet you can feel what’s in your heart. And be in touch with your beliefs.

“Quiet your heart in His presence and wait patiently for God. And don’t think for a moment test the wicked, in their prosperity are better off than you.” Proverbs 37:7

Much activity with no pause leads to spiritual dullness and confusion.

Rick Renner

If you cannot find quiet time, go to the bathroom, if someone wonders why your in there so long tell them “I’m dealing with an issue,” and they will think you’re on the toilet and leave you alone. Or go for a walk by yourself. Anything to get in touch with your heart.

4. Everyday. Spend some time with someone who strengthens your soul. Someone who lifts your spirit. Someone positive. Whether it’s a friend, a partner, or someone else.

5. Everyday. Take time for random pauses to thank God regardless of how your feeling or thinking. Thank God for being just. Try to do this at least seven times a day, even if it for 2 minutes.

“Seven times a day I praise you, because of your righteous ordinances. Those who love your Torah (Bible) have great peace. Nothing causes them to stumble. Psalm 119:164-165

In Psalms King David had many who were against him in his home and out. He was a godly man, the praised God seven times a day to keep his soul aligned with his beliefs.

6. Everyday. Say No to the things you’re not supposed to do. We wear ourselves out doing things we don’t need to do. The truth is that 85% of what you do can be done by someone else. 10% can be trained to do to you do. And 5% of what you do can only be done by you.

Don’t waste your life doing things that are not supposed to be done by you. Spend that time securing your treasures in heaven. On people who will strengthen you, not weaken you.

7. Everyday. Pray to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

“Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.” Ephesians 5:17

These simple things will not take that long to complete. But are a huge contribution to your day. It all depends where your priorities are.
