Generational Curses

What Does The Bible Say?

Whether you believe it or not, generational curses exist and are mentioned in the Bible many times. A generational curse is passed down from one generation to another. They can continue into third and forth generations.

It’s easy to identify up to 5 types of generational curses mentioned in the Bible. It is preposterous to think that a child can be punished just because of something their ancestors might had done year ago.

Based on man’s law a person should be given punishment proportionate to the crime they committed. But, God works differently and discourages some of the most serious sins through generational curses.

Many people tend to blessings with earthly riches and possessions, but the notion of being rich and successful is a sign of blessing and being poor is a sign of cursing is wrong. To be blessed simply means one has been recognized and accepted by God. Being blessed may attract riches, but riches cannot be measured of God’s blessings.

Curses come when a person is a victim of evil judgments. They are also caused by people deliberately involving themselves in things that trigger curses. Some curses are not generational.
