Sometimes we wait to rest in the Lord until we are so exhausted that it’s hard to think straight. Do you feel stuck in a troublesome routine. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I feel like every day is the same first with the same results Day-by day, struggling, and as a result we are draining thr happiness and satisfaction from myself.
Sure I can take a nap, but the situation doesn’t change when I wake up. I know many people that feel the same way – their souls are tired. No matter how many hours of sleep they get, their still exhausted.
I think we all need to learn how to rest in the Lord. We do this by placing our lives fully into His hands. Casting our worries, burdens, and discomforts toward Him.
We can rest every night feeling protected. We can proceed in our daily lives knowing that the Lord always watches over us. He has immeasurable power. This is because there is nothing God cannot save or solve, and that includes anything that’s bothering you right now.
Psalm 37:7 reminds us to be still and wait for the Lord’s presence. He loves us so much that He wants to fight our battles if we allow Him to. Our trust in the Lord activates our rest in Him. But, most of the time, our problems circulated and forms bigger when we deny ourselves the assurance only God can give.
In our humanness we forget to give everything to God. We forget that God will take care of all our problems if we trust in Him.
When we choose to struggle, we take everything into our own hands. Meaning we depend on our human abilities to conquer problems. Instances like failures, disappointments, and loss can drive us into darkness. The more we rely on our abilities, the more we question and see our lapses.
This routine gets exhausting; it drains our emotions with the pressure we create out of our reliance on ourselves.
When we give our problems to God, the pressure of our emotions that we cannot control are now in God’s hands. Even when sadness still occur, our eyesight becomes clearer, instead of being upset over our problems we can learn that God is working 24/7 in our lives. And we start feeling excited for what He’s doing. He will unravel everything after the storm. We learn to no longer seethe flaws but appreciate the adventure of the free life God wants us to experience.
You are not fighting the battle alone. We need to remember we cannot carry all our burdens alone and that God can do all things. If we choose to trust in the Lord, all of life’s tiresome twists become blessings.
