I grew up in a dysfunctional family which has drastically and permanently altered the course of my life. My mother only cared about herself she had no regard for anyone else to the point of being abusive to get what she wanted. My father was a retired Marine, he was the caring one. I knew that anything I was going through I could go to him and he would help me figure it out.

One brother (my step brother) was a molester. Two we’re drug addicts, and One was business savvy, he could sale anyone anything. I remember one time when my father gave him his “allowance” he told him that he didn’t need it and pulled a wade of money out of his pocket -He was 10 years old at the time -he died at age 11. My sister was more interested in boys and sneaking out of the house at night. , I just tried to stay away from my mother as much as I could, knowing that if she saw or heard me bad things would happen.

I did not know my maternal grand parents. I had never seen them. My paternal grandparents were very caring people, My grandfather (Apa) could not speak English, he only spoke Hungarian, and My nagymomma (grandmother), was the sweetest, most caring person that I have ever met in my life. They traveled to America by ship to escape the holocaust.
