When are you most happy?
My happiness lie with my adult children from seeing them grow into independent, responsible people, and experiencing a deep connection based on mutual respect. I enjoy the privilege of being present in their lives. I enjoy spending time with them, and speaking to them on the phone.
Them being able to navigate their own paths in life and still offering support when they need it. Brings my happiness.
When I chose to become a parent, I knew it would be hard work, I knew I would have to put them first before myself. I’ve had to make sacrifices for them, but it was worth it. To see how much they’ve accomplished because of the values I instilled in them, was worth it. They bring me happiness every day, knowing I was successful as my job as a parent.
