My family comes from Hungary. My grandparents came by ship to escape the holocaust.
Hungarians are known for their pride in their culture, language, and hospitality. Here are few things my family traditions I have valued growing up that I do to this day.
- Always making eye contact with someone you’re speaking with. It is considered polite and sincere.
- It’s polite to bring a small gift, like flowers, or chocolates, or food when we are invited to someone’s house.
