The Storm Is Coming: Check Your Foundation

We each belong to one of two classifications. One who builds on solid rock, or one who builds on the sand.

Now is the time to check out foundations. Only the right foundation will withstand the storms that are coming.

Psalm 127:1 tells us, “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen guards it in vain.”

We should not be afraid if our lives are built on solid rock – Jesus. Why have fear and doubt enter our lives? With Jesus our foundation is secure.

If you’ve watched mainstream news lately, you’ve probably seen them “fear mongering.” The world loves to have people live in fear. Fear is a psychological tool used to manipulate, divide, and control by fostering compliance, doubt, and obedience. It forces people to abandon rights, fuel propaganda, and turns people against one another to maintain power. The psychological impact of fear can turn people into agents aggression and cause.

But:

God says, “For I am the Lord, I do not change, therefore you are not consumed” – Malachi 3:6. He is the same, yesterday, today, and forever.

Jesus is our solid foundation. Number 23:19 says, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent.”

God’s character, promises, and faithfulness remain steadfast, regardless of changing circumstances.

No building is stronger that it’s foundation. If a foundation does not include Jesus, it is weak, no matter the other materials in the building, it is in jeopardy.

Make sure you have the right foundation, a blood foundation with the divine blood of Jesus. Without divine blood, we have no solid rock, no Savior, no passport to heaven, no deliverance, and no forgiveness of sins.

Some people appear to take great interest in the work of God, but suddenly the storm blows in, and their house collapses. They can’t withstand the storms of life, they can’t take the winds -the troubles that come.

Make sure of your foundation. Make sure you know Jesus as Lord, Master, and Savior. Make sure you know Him as the Son of God, as your redeemer. He is the light of the world.

Riches won’t save you, the most expensive materials in the house matter nothing, if the house isn’t built on a solid foundation.
