“For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd. He will lead them yo springs of living water and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes” -Revelation 7:17
When it comes to politics worldly people seem to focus on either the donkey or the elephant for them to right every wrong they perceive.
People easily forget or were never taught that the Lord, Jesus -the Lamb of God is squarely, joyfully, sovereign at the center of the Throne of thrones. Not a donkey or an elephant. These are just symbols of mere humans doing mere politics. But the Lamb of God took away the sins of the world. He reigns over all things for Your glory and works in all things for our good.
Thankfully we can fill our hearts with the vision of what is and will be forever. What a worship-fueling, hope-enlarging, Holy paradox. A Lamb is presently our King and will be our Shepard forever.
Jesus has always served us, in creation and redemption. Even in eternity who leads to springs of living water. Because of Jesus’s finished work, in the current reign, we can be assured that Jesus will wipe away the sins of His redeemed.
Our hope needs to be in the Lamb, not in a donkey, or an elephant.
