What About Hell

Have you ever heard someone say, or said yourself there is “No Hell” or “Hell is going to be one big party?”

Here are some common myths about Hell:

  • Hell Doesn’t Really Exist.

If he’ll was not a literal place, why did Jesus talk about it like He did? Hell is a real place, just not the kind most of us imagine. Hell is not a city you can drive in and out of, it’s not a furnace beneath the surface of the earth. It’s an eternal destination of suffering and separation from God for those who reject Jesus (Matthew 7:21-23).

  • Hell Is A Party And The Devil Is Your Wingman.

There is evidence in the Bible that heaven will be a party, not hell (Matthew 22:2; Luke 15:7). The Bible describes hell as a place of suffering and disconnection from God. Satan isn’t some guy dress up in a red costume and fake horns, he isn’t your friend; he’s an enemy who tries anything to destroy you, and to keep you from having a relationship/ friendship with God,

  • Satan Rules Hell And God Rules Heaven.

God controls heaven and God controls hell. Satan does not run hell but he will be imprisoned there when God makes the final call for those who obey Jesus verses those who oppose Him. Jesus is the night authority over all things and all places (Colossians 1:15-18; Psalm 139:7-8).

  • Hell Is Only For Really Bad People.

One sin enough to deserve hell.Sin is so bad because it’s destructive to us and other people. God takes sin seriously because He doesn’t want us to be harmed, and sin separates us from Him.

Let’s look at Matthew 5:21-24,

“You have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, You should not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of judgement. But I tell you that everyone who is angry with his brother (fellow man) ‘You good for nothing!’ will be in danger of the council (divine deliberation Whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of fire of Gehinnom (Hell). If therefore you are offering your gift at the alter, and there remember that your has anything against you, leave your gift there before the alter, and go on your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.” (Messianic).

We would all go to hell if it wasn’t for Jesus. Everyone is bad because everyone has sinned. But because of God’s grace, Jesus offers salvation from all sins and a way to live with Him forever in heaven. What matters is not how evil our deeds are, but how we respond to Jesus’s offer of forgiveness (Romans 6:23). Without God there is no grace or mercy. We must repent of our sins.

  • People Go To Different Levels Of Hell Based On How Bad Of A Person They Were.

There is no evidence in the Bible that there are different levels of punishment according to how bad a person is. What it does make clear is that we are all bad people who’ve rebelled against God, but Jesus took our place and accepted the punishment for the sin we deserved (Isaiah 53:6).

  • God Would Never Let A “Good” Person Go To Hell.

Sinned everyone has sinned, there are no inherently good people, just forgiven people changed by Jesus. When people reject Jesus and don’t want to be connected to God, He allows them to make their choices. But God never stops pursuing us because He wants us to spend eternity in heaven with Him (John 6:40).

Hell and heaven are both eternal destinations. Throughout our lives, God graciously gives us countless opportunities to choose Him over sin. He’s patient enough to keep His offer open all the time (2 Peter 3:9).

Without God there would be no light on earth, only darkness. Our only hope to not go to hell is His forgiveness, grace, and mercy.

What You Need To Remember When Satan Attacks

Where you think God and Satan are real or not. There is no denying there is a direct line between good and evil. It seems like that becoming more clear in the world today more than ever,

We have a real enemy whose aim is to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:19). As soon as we were born Satan began his attacks. He loves to whisper lies and looks for opportunities to deceive us (John 8:44).

If you read the Holy Bible, then you know Jesus paid for our lives at the Cross, and defeated the enemy. But, Satan still can work in the world. Satan won’t be able to attack us forever,so he’s making the most of the time he has (Revelation 12:12). We can see more than ever the Satan “is filled with fury,” because he knows his time is short,

If we put our trust in Jesus we will receive the power to overcome Satan’s attacks. It is will God’s help we can get strength to fight him. We have to “fight the good fight,” until Jesus returns, but in the meantime we have to worship our way to victory. We have to love, and pray that others will except God as Lord and Savior.

In not one to go around preaching to others. My motto is “Love God, Love Others.” If people see how I live they can ask me how I’m so at peace in this chaotic world.

When we follow Jesus and do what He says, then no attack from Satan can knock us off our feet. And when we put our trust in Jesus no attack from Satan can separate us from His love.

There’s a promise from Romans 8:38-39:

“Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Here’s some things to reflect on.

  • In what areas of your life are you most likely to be tempted by Satan?
  • When you are tempted, what are some ways that you can avoid giving in to Satan?
  • What steps are you currently taking to grow closer to Jesus?

What Happens If You Are Willing And Obedient.

Willing and obedient wish you were seem to be an obvious pair should always go together. But I realize that this is not necessarily the case. Sometimes our obedience may be reluctant. Obedient often requires some form of sacrifices on our side, and laying down our self and our desires that could ring with it a measure of reluctance. Obedience is praiseworthy, even when it happens somewhat reluctantly.

In Luke 5 Read how do use it for teaching, the multitudes of people from Simon Peter’s boat on the lake of Gennesaret. When Jesus stop speaking to the multitudes, He said to Simon (Peter), Launch out into the deep and let your net down for a catch.” But Simon answered, and said to Him, “Master,” We have toiled up all night and caught nothing, Nevertheless, at Your Word I will let down the net.’ And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking .” (Luke 5:4-6). Peter’s (Simon) obedience came rather reluctantly, as they had already washed their nets after a fruitless day of fishing. And yet, even his reluctant obedience brought about a great blessing for him.

Even though God blesses, a reluctant act of obedience, God is looking for willing to obedience that flows from our love for Him. When you love someone, and you are in a relationship with them, you will gladly do certain things for them, even if it may require a sacrifice on your part. Your focus is the value you placed on your relationship, instead of the sacrifice it requires. God is pleased when we obey Him, But I think it brings joy to His heart, when obedience to his word comes from a place of willingness and love,

I have found myself rather reluctant obeying God, and somethings he specifically asked me to do. But I experience a wonderful joy and peace after pushing through, despite my own feelings. This experience affirmed God’s trustworthiness and faithfulness to me, And drew me in to a deeper place of intimacy and trust with Him.

Isaiah 64:5 says, “You come to help of those who gladly do right, who remember Your ways. Jesus said, if you love me, you will keep my commands (John 14:15, Amp), well, that settles for me. Even though obedience is what God says in His Word, or prompts me to do by His Holy Spirit, comes at a price at times, it’s always best to willing obey I have learned to trust Him.

Just last week, I ended up in the hospital with a heart condition. God warned me a year ago to change my diet or there could be grave consequences. But me being stubborn and wanting to eat, but I wanted to eat. I disobeyed. After almost having a heart attack in the emergency room. I immediately thought. Wow, was I stupid. Now I have to have a very strict diet and be on more medication than I thought I would ever be on.

We don’t have to obey God, we don’t have to choose what is right, and God will forgive us. But, we always have to live with the consequences of our actions.

Nature’s Most Powerful Medicinal Plants

Have you ever wondered why many people in the past lived so long? I know I have, what was it that made them live so long. In fact Methuselah lived to be 969 years old. I know I surly don’t want to live that long. But, ask myself “how did they do it.

There are plants that God has to on the earth for help us in times of pain or disease. They have been used since before Biblical times.

Today, we live in a time when manufactured medicines and prescriptions prevail, but do they have to be the only approach to healing?

Even will all of these engineered options at our fingertips, many people find themselves turning back to the medicinal plants that started it all: Herbal remedies that have the abilities ti heal and boost physical and mental well-being.

When I researched this I found in fact at the beginning of the 21st century, 11% of 252 drugs considered basic and essential by the World Health Organization were exclusively of flowering plant origin, Drugs like codeine, quinine, and morphine all contain plant-derived ingredients.

While these manufactured drugs have certainly become paramount in our lives, it may be comfortable to know that the power of nature is on our side.

But the extent of the power they hold is still being explored. These plants are not cure all’s and they aren’t at all perfect. And many carry the same risks as manufactured medicines. And many natural and manufactured medicines/natural products are sold with unfounded promises.

However, there are many herbs and teas that offer harmless ways to improve your health. But we should be aware of what the evidence says about each herb’s effectiveness as well as potential interactions or safety issues. And always always avoid using herbs on infants and children, and if your pregnant or breastfeeding. Most herbs have not been tested for safety for those who are vulnerable. Any of these natural remedies isn’t worth the risk.

However, choosing the right plant can seem difficult to someone who wants to simply feel better without taking medication. Making decisions about herbs with traditional medicinal approaches is something you and your health care doctor can address together.

I urge you to not go experiencing any natural medicinal without seeking advice from a health care professional. That being said there are plenty plant remedies that have arrived armed with knowledge. Still speak to the health care professional before implementing this into your life. Some can have negative side affect if taken with modern medicine.

Looking For The Deeper You

If I asked you, Who are you and why are you here? You would probably tell me you name, and maybe tell me what your job is. But, it takes a deeper reflection you find out who you really are.

Our world today has one great irony that is mind boggling. The majority of people are trying very hard to conform to what someone else wants them to be. And it happens so subtly that we fail to realize that is what’s happening.

We’re constantly being told what other people think we are, that’s why it’s so important to know yourself deeply.

This happens at many levels, the television bombards us with images of how we should look and dress, what we should eat or drink, even what vehicle to drive. If you think about it’s all most like psychological warfare. They are powerful words, and images to change how you think and act.

If we look around us for the things that will help us define who we are. In fact the majority of people have I sense of identity apart from the clothing they wear, the car they drive, where they live, or even to they are married,

If you were stripped of everything you own and left on a island away from everything that you think defines, would you still have a clear sense of who you are or what defines you?

Our body’s are not who you really are. At the core of it, you are more than that. Maybe that’s why it is so hard for people to fully understand and appreciate who they are.

The concept of self in the true form is something that goes beyond you physical bodies and senses. We are complex beings. We cannot be defined by the things we surround ourselves with, but the things within us. If you think about human beings in essence we are all essentially the same. It is our thoughts and experiences that differentiate us.

Our true identity lies within us, not outside of us. We should define who we are based on our thoughts, values, principles, and beliefs. It’s ok at to have material things but they should not be our sense of self.

Material things are there to help us make life easier. If we rely on them, and lost everything today that would change who you are as a person. You would still be you,

So, what’s the importance of all of this, you might ask?

The greatest difficulty is that men do not think enough of themselves, do not consider what it is they are sacrificing when they follow the herd, or when the cater for the establishment.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

I think this quote represents all people.

So, are you sacrificing when you go through life blindly conforming to everything. Do you sacrifice your true potential and purpose.

Look within yourself not out, everything begins and ends with our thoughts. Our perspective.

A man named Sidney Harris says, “ninety percent of the world woe comes from people not knowing themselves, their abilities, their frailties, or even their own virtues. Most people go almost all the way through life as complete strangers to themselves.

Many people lack an understanding of who they are, without which they are unable to know what they are capable of achieving in life.

“When you know yourself you are empowered. When you accept yourself you are invincible.“ Tina Lifford

Psychological Warfare

War Without Arms And Weapons

Psychological warfare is one of warfare’s most influential but often underestimated aspects. The way psychological warfare was used throughout history to target the morale and emotions of many soldiers is a clear example of why people are usually made so aware of the horror and carnage of war that they overlook one of the most commonly used weapons.

The leaflets contained images of adultery, a theme that undoubtedly brought a since of unease among soldiers, who were dropped and spread by the attackers. Papers filled with propaganda used to reduce energy and enthusiasm to brainwash them to protect from its effects of psychological warfare was successfully carried out.

Psychological warfare involves mental or emotional type of battle as opposed to practicing physical combat. Psychological warfare utilizes specific designs including propaganda and menacing statements, that aim to adversely affect an enemy’s rationale and actions. This includes control, pressure, of weakening of the enemy in both mind and body.

I believe this is what’s happening in America.

Psychological Techniques

  • News outlets: Television and radio stations are used as outlets to broadcast propaganda and reach widespread audiences access cities and even nations.
  • Media: Posting propaganda on social media sites such as Facebook or twitter illistates modern psychological warfare techniques. This aims to influence viewers beliefs, either for or against certain ideas.
  • False Flags: A false flag campaign occurs when one party takes a particular action and blames it on the other party. False flag events are designed with deception in mind, they are meant to convince the enemy that the event was perpetrated by their own enemies. Alternatively a false flag event attempts to deceive individuals into thinking the action was executed by a friendly party. This tactic is intended to mislead and attract to certain activities.

Propaganda connects to one’s belief system in a sense that creators aim to affect to recipients thoughts and opinions with the hope that the recipients act on a newfound ideas. This clearly intends to take advantage of individuals emotions. In the event that the targeted populations emotions are running high, a frenzy may occur that comped the group to take action. The propagate creators count on this. Not all propaganda is forthright regarding its origin or messages. Sine propaganda is purposely misleading into order to make its point and create its intended outcome.

Types of Psychological warfare include

  • Manipulation
  • Intimidation

With the use of news, and social media that leads to intimidation and fake social media this use of psychological warfare (Propaganda) is used to encourage the “enemy” to surrender or terror.

Unfortunately The people in America don’t see any what’s happening. Too many are falling for these tactics. Our country is failing and when people wake up it will to late to save ourselves.

Treasure In Heaven

The Sermons On the included Jesus’s most famous teachings.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will also be.” Matthew 6:19-21

In Matthew 6:24 Jesus says you cannot serve both God and money. No one can serve two masters for either he will hate the one or love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other.

You will never see a U-Haul behind a hearse.

Treasures in heaven are clearly treasures that last. We live in a passing world with passing fancies. Treasure in heaven are treasures that no one can take from you, your car, your bank account, your house.

I’m not saying you can’t have earthly possessions, God wants us to be happy. But, we need to focus more on our treasures in heaven than “stuff.”

The more things we have, the more things seem to have. We start to organize our lives around “stuff” and spend money to maintain them. It puts something other than God at the center of our lives.

Jesus says, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also,” meaning that we will center our lives around what we value most. If we prioritize the wrong things, our lives will go off the rails. If we prioritize the right things, our lives will stay in the transformative footstep of our Redeemer,

How To Store Up Treasure In Heaven

Let’s look at some of Jesus’s teachings on the Sermon on the Mount.

Here’s a few, definitely not a comprehensive list.

  • Being humble and pure in heart (Matthew 5:5-7)
  • Hungering and thirsting for Righteousness (Matthew 5:6)
  • Showing mercy (Matthew 5:7
  • Making peace (Matthew 5:9)
  • Being persecuted for the sake of righteousness (Matthew 5:10
  • Being the ‘salt of the earth’ which is about in part, preserving the flavor of godliness in the world and our relationships. (Matthew 5:15)
  • Being the light of the world (Matthew 5:14)
  • Following God’s commands (Mathew 5:19)
  • Resisting anger (Matthew 5:22)
  • Keeping your word (promises)

If you read From Matthew 6 on. They you can read them all. I suggest you read from the NKJV (new kingdom James version) it’s easier to understand. And the most original version. Or the NKJV Amplified.

The Eternal Pathways Of God

Think about your favorite things. What are they? A fancy house, the latest gadget, a impressive social media profile, or clothes or cars that make other people turn their heads.

Look at your prize. The sobering reality is that where your heartbeat goes, so do your things.

Over 1600 years ago a man named John Chrysostom wrote something that could have been written last week.

“We are only temporary guests on earth. We recognize that the houses in which we live serve only as hostels on the road to eternal life. We do not seek peace or security from the material walls around us or the roof above our heads. Rather, we want to surround ourselves with a wall of divine grace; and we look upward to heaven as our roof. And the furniture of our lives should be good works, performed in a spirit of love,

In the glittered obsessed and distracted eyes of the world, we may not be bigger or better, or even the best, but we can be blessed.

Bible Verse Psalm 17

God calls to walk in righteousness, and then test us to help us do it. Psalm 17 keeps us on track with God through the test and causes us to pass the test by the grace of God.

“Though you prove my heart and examine me at night, will you test me, you will find nothing. I have resolved that my mouth will not sin.”Psalm 17-3

Passing a test concerning righteousness begins with guarding your words. Keeping your words in agreement with God’s words, and your actions will follow the path of righteousness.

“Hear me, Lord, my plea is just; listen to my cry. Hear my prayer -it does not rise from deceitful lips. Let my vindication, from you.; may your eyes see what is right.” Psalm 17-1-2

When we pray, worship, and speak God‘s Word, You stay away from the devil schemes plotted against you. This is how God protect you. “Passing the test” keeps you in God’s protection, and out of the enemies hands.

“As for the deeds of men, by the word of your lips, I have kept myself from the waves of the violent.“ Psalm 17:4

Keep using what your learning. Guard against wrongful speaking and continue to speak God‘s Word over your life and situations. This is how we passed the test.

“My steps have held fast to your paths; my feet have not slipped.” Psalm 17:5

The result of passing the test from God is improved relationship with God. You will see His Face more clearly and yourself more “like Him” as you move forward in the revelation.

“As for me, I will seek your faith in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in your likeness.” Psalm 17:15

What Is Freedom In Christ?

Have you ever stopped to consider what is really means to be free in Christ?

Whether you are new in your faith or you’ve been walking with God for a long time, this concept may be confusing.

Although I’ve been a follower In Christ for over 10 years, I’ve always taken this concept for granted. But when I read the scriptures that discuss freedom. I still have more questions.

These scripture’s are:

  • John 8:36
  • Romans 6:7-8
  • Galatians 5:1

This is just a primer to what it means to be free In Christ.

What Is Freedom In Christ And How To Obtain It?

Freedom means you have a choice. It means you are longer restrained or controlled by the things that once held you back.

In America we are fortunate to be born into a free country, but there are others that are not so lucky. They live their lives oppressed, or even enslaved by others.

All of us are born as slaves to sin (Psalm 51:5). Our sin nature separates from God’s love and His freeing power of the Holy Spirit. The moment we decide to place our trust in God and follow Him is when sin loses the power to control us (Romans 6:6).

Freedom in Christ means that we are no longer controlled by sin. The power of the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:17) gives us the ability to resist our sinful desires, and instead of choosing the path of sin and death, we are free to choose life (Romans 6:22).

Our first step towards freedom is salvation (John 3:6-21). Once we open up your heart and invite the Holy Spirit in, the chains that enslave us is broken.

“ for he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness, and brought us to the kingdom of the Son He loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins” Colossians 1:13-14

Does Freedom In Christ Mean I Can Do Whatever I Want?

Don’t be mistaken, freedom is not for unhindered autonomy. Whether it’s earthly freedom or spiritual freedom, there are always going to be laws, rules, and guidelines we have to follow. There will always be right and wrong.

“So I say, walk by the spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desired, but is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.” Galatians 5:16-17

This passage goal on who is all types of sinful desires, or acts of the flesh, that we can still fall into if we are not careful, despite being free from the power of sin.

The Bible makes it very clear that if we continue to live like the world, we are still enslaved to sin, and that our future is not secure.

“ I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this, will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Galatians 5:21

Unfortunately, because of the prominence of sin in our lives, we must be so intentional about using to follow Jesus. We must choose daily between allowing sin to control our life, or following Christ, and experiencing ultimate freedom from sin.

“ Live ask people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up or evil, but living as servants of God.” 1 Peter 2:16

What Are Ways We Allow The Enemy To Control Us, Even After We Have Been Set Free?

“ For freedom in Christ has set us free; stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1

The enemy long to keep you from experiencing is sharing for freedom you have in Christ by continuing to entice you with sin, and using guilt and shame to remind you of your sinful past. Even though you have been set free from the control of sin, Satan doesn’t want you to lose his grip on you.

Be free in Christ does not mean we will never fall back into our sinful ways, But it doesn’t mean that we are no longer under sin’s control. Before Christ redeemed us, our only choice was sin.

Sin is very powerful, and without the saving power of Jesus and the Holy Spirit, the enemy will always try to use sin to drag you down.

“ But each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. Then, after desire is conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.” James 1:14-15

Freedom in Christ not only means we are free from sin, but also that we are free from the burden of sin, or the guilt and shame of things we’ve done in the past.

“Once you were dead, because we were disobedient, and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil -The commander of the powers and unseen world. He is the spirit at work in our hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us want to live that way, following the passionate desire and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature, we are subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else.” Ephesians 2:1-3

Satan loves it when we allow guilt and shame to reside in our hearts, win, even after Jesus, forgives us, the weight of our past feels way, heavy on our shoulders.

“ therefore, nowthere is no condemnation for those who are in Christ, Jesus, because through Christ Jesus, the law of the spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.’ Romans 8:1-2

Remember that one of the main characteristics of God is that of love. “God is love” John 4:16, and in 1 Corinthians 13:5, Paul says that “Love keeps no records of wrongs.”

The Bible tells us that when we are set free from all the sins of our pasts, they are forgotten and forgiven; You are no longer accountable for them.

“Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their nature to His cross and crucified them there.” Galatians 5:24

How Do I Avoid Going Back To Being A Slave To Sin Once We’ve Been Set Free?

“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is my strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:26

Once we’ve chosen to follow Jesus, the Holy Spirit Will one our hearts and mind. We don’t have to fall into temptation of sin any longer. Yes, we will be tempted, but thanks for the Holy Spirit, we will now have victory over sin. If we sin we can repent and turn away from that sin.

Most churches will have you believe you can only take communion at church. This is not so. Since Jesus died for we can have direct access to Him. We can pray the communion prayer ourselves and drink from the wine (grape juice) and break the bread. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

I take communion everyday. To keep my Spirit right with God.

Look to Jesus as your example to what you do when you are tempted. After fasting for 40 days in the wilderness, certain camper, Jesus, and tempted Him three times, in all three times, Jesus did not stumble into sin. Instead, He turned to the word of God, repeating scripture and worshiping His father. This is found in Matthew 4:1-11.

Jesus called the word of God our “daily bread” Matthew 6:11. Just as we need to eat to nourish our bodies every day, we also need to consume God’s Word o guard our hearts and minds from the enemy and from the temptation of sin Ephesians 6:10-17.
