Today’s Psalm 4

Psalm 4

Psalm 4 is to call all believers to righteousness/holiness… To keep you in God’s protection and provision.

Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; have mercy on me, and hear my prayer. How long O you sons of men, will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness and seek falsehood?

We all cry out to God when we need help. Find shows us in this Psalm that IF the trouble we are experiencing is the result of our bad choices God has a plan for helping us anyway. (Imagine that).

If we pray through Psalm 4 and learn to receive forgiveness and God’s grace to bring healing and victory in situations where we have allowed the enemy to come through bad choices that reject God’s glory and truth.

We need to pray for God to show us where our choices have given the enemy advantage over us. And to forgive us and restore us to His grace and to a place where we can receive the victory He promises us.

Ps 3-4. But know that the Lord has set apart for HimselfHis to is godly; The land will hear when I call to Him.

“Him who is godly” is any person who obeys God. When you acknowledge to God, and to yourself that God has a power in the plan you need for victory, and the trial you are facing… and you begin to seek Him about it. Will quickly experience an increase in your faith.

We need to pray “ you are above all powers, and above all creation. And you still love me enough to get involved in my life and in my battle. Help me to hear from You and receive the Word from the Spirit that he will give me victory in court by You as my God and my Savior.”

Ps 4-5. Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate with in your heart on your bed, and be still. Offered the sacrifices of righteousness and put your trust in the Lord.

Here’s the key: Your “flesh,” in other words, You don’t want to be told you are you doing anything wrong, God wants us “not to get angry”, but to meditate about “what He has said to you. Stay with this Psalm until you hear Him speak (the Holy Spirit). This is how you put your trust in the Lord.”

Ps 6. There are many who say, “who will show us any good?“ Lord, we lift up the light of Your countenance upon us.

God is saying, “Don’t listen to what they say.” I will show you “the good” because you are doing things His Way.

We need to pray, “ I thank you for Your Grace and Mercy, and for never giving up on me. I am beginning a new walk with you, that will be marked by my hearing from you and following You as You lead me into the blessings, provision, and protection You promise for Your children.

Ps 7-8. You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the season, that their grain and wine increased. I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O Lord, make m dwell in safety.

This promise will be filled and you as you hear from God,” and begin to follow the “guidance” He gives you. It is also a great “Word to praise Him with” as your “meditation” in the Word and a “Faith Declaration” ti use as your “Sword of the Spirit” until the victory comes.

We All Fall Short

Everyone tries to fill the unfillable hole inside of us with different things: money, sex, drugs, alcohol, success, comfort, diversion, amusement, hobbies, work, nor relationship after relationship. We can create, but everything we create cannot fill the hole. So, we try to redefine reality and create a world without the unfillable hole.

Our flesh and our world can become so broken we tells ourselves it’s broken by design. We all fall short. We all dance the dance because will live with the hopelessness of trying to fill our own hole.

We all need someone or something to fill that hole. Unfortunately many do one understand how to do it until we’ve dug ourselves so far into a pit, or we die trying.

We need someone else to fill the hole. We need the One that created us to make it right. Jesus fills the hole when we choose to follow Him. We receive eternal life in God’s kingdom and through the Holy Spirit, who fills that hole.

Those of us who know Jesus, experience fulfillment. We understand the joy and peace -the life of having that hole filled. When we focus on Jesus and the Holy Spirit, the hole inside is filled. (Ephesians 5:18).

Jesus said He came to give us life (John 10:10), and peace (John 14:27). His life and peace fill our unfillable hole. We no long have to dance with the unfillable hole. But, when we focus on our circumstances, we sense the emptiness and rejoin the dance, and all we can focus on our circumstances.

If we know to follow Jesus we have a responsibility to Him. Our responsibility isn’t just to tell others about the One who filled our hole. Our responsibility is to live a life marked by generosity and love that flows from a filled, unfillable hole.

I hope we live in such a way that people see our good works and glorify God in heaven (1 Peter 2:13). That’s how other will see life beyond dancing with the unfillable hole.

Hope And It’s Elements

Every human being places their hope in something, and every human being asks that hope to deliver something. Where have you placed your hope?

We’ve all been hardwired for hope. We all project our lives out into the future to imagine things as they would like them to be. we all carry around with us, personal hopes and dreams. We all surrender our hearts to some kind of expectation. We all silently wish that things could be different than they are we all hope in something and we all hope for something. So much of how we look at life and how we live, our lives is connected to the thing in which we place our fundamental hopes for our lives.

Hope always have three elements – an assessment, an object, and an expectation. Hope works around and assesses that something or someone could be better than it is; that something or someone is somehow broken. If things were as perfect as they could be, then you wouldn’t need to hope. Hope all has an object it is the thing that you bank your help on. You asked for the object of your hope to fix what is broken or to deliver what is desired or needed. Hope has an expectation. That is what you asked the object of your hope to give you, what you hope the object of your hope will deliver.

Now, there are really only two places to look for foundational life. hope, that is basic meaning and purpose, motivation to continue, a sense of well-being, that acknowledge that you have hooked yourself to what life is really about. You can search for hope horizontally in the situations, experiences, physical possessions, location, and relationships of everyday life. There are two problems with looking horizontally.

First, all of the you things suffer from some degree to brokenness. They are part of the problem, and because they are, they are unable to deliver what you are seeking. Also, these things were never made to be a source of our hope but the fingers at point you to where your hope can be found.

Paul says it all when in Romans 5:5 when he tells us that hope in God will never put us to shame. It will never embarrass us by failing to deliver. In those words, Paul tells us where Hope can be found. It is found only vertically. Only when God is our hope is our hope is sure and secure. Only he is able to give you the life that your heart seeks. Only He is able to give your soul the rest it needs. Only He can deliver the internal peace that is the hunger of every human being. It is only when grace has connected Him to you when you learn what life is really all about.

If Your Hope Disappoints You, It’s Because It’s The Wrong Hope. – Apostle Paul (Romans 5:5)

Psalm 1 Bible Verse

I was just looking at the outline for my Psalms and realized I didn’t post Psalm 1. I’m sharing with you the book of Psalms and the guidance my pastor has given me to learn these and lead to changing not only how I see the Bible, but also changed my life.

Psalm 1

To birth love/passion for God’s Word through meditation

Many say, they love God’s Word, but not as many of them show that love by meditating in it. “ meditation God’s Way” is to worship Him directly from His Word ( the Psalms) and according to the instructions given there. As we worship, ask God to create a passion in you to love Him and pursue Him, His Way… through worship.

Blessed is the man whose delight is in Lord, and on His law he mediates day and night. Psalm 1:1-2.

Ps1:3 He is like a tree, planted by the streams of water, which yields its fruit in season, and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prosperous.

We all pray that God will bless us, nourishes, and provide for us, and caused us to be prosperous in all we do. That is exactly what God promises. He will do if we will worship at Him by meditating in His Word.

Ps 1:6. The Lord watches, over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.

God knowing your way, means that because you are close to Him (relationship). He will be aware of every step you take, and can provide you His blessings, protection, and provision as you journey through life with Him.

Today’s Psalm

Psalm 3

Lord, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. Many say of me, “There is no help for him in God.” But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts my head.

The Sword Of The Spirit For Every Battle

This Psalm is “The sword of the spirit for any faith-fight (1 Samuel 17:14). Regardless of the enemy’s strength we must keep our eyes and our hearts on the promise of God to fight for us and bring us victory.

God is our shield, our glory and the One who lifts up our heads. When we declare our faith in God He fights for us.

In all things we must remember that battle is the Lords. But we must pray for Him to give us strength and to fill our souls with peace.

I cried out to Lord and He answered me from His Holy mountain. I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety. For the Lord was watching over me. – Psalm 3:4-5

The enemy’s #1 weapon is fear that comes from being overwhelmed by the strength of your adversary. Our #1 weapon against this is our mouth declaring that we will not be moved by fear.

I am not afraid of ten thousand enemies who surround me on every side. – Psalm 3:6

We should not be afraid of who comes against us. Because our battle belongs to the Lord. God teaches us to rely on Hun by growing our faith for the victory in and conflict we are facing.

Arise, Lord! Deliver me, my God. Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked. From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people. -Psalm 3:7-8.

God can strengthen our souls and build our faith to declare the strength He had given is fighting our battles in His Strength.

Why America Is Against Christianity

The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence were founded on the principle that human law cannot contradict God’s direct decree, only if God had not ruled in an area where men are then free to set their own legislative policy.

If it isn’t longer self-evident that all men are created, then it cannot be self-evident that all men are created equal. As the Declaration of Independence suggests, losing the physical understanding of self-evidence causes us to lose the metaphysical understanding of self-evident.

As long as there are people who strongly adhere to a religion that honors this principle, man’s power, as well as government’s power, will always be limited. So, in order for liberals to construct evil from either desires and passions, believe in God must be neutralized, better yet destroyed, and moral relativism is a keystone of that degenerative road.

Today’s Psalm

Psalm 2

Why are the nations in an uproar and the peoples devising a vain thing? The kings of the earth take counsel together against the Lord and against His Anointed saying, “Let us tear their fetters apart and cast their cords from us.

America is in a time of unprecedented attack from “our adversary, the devil.” God is calling His people, the Church, to rise up in prayer to defeat him, And release an awakening and revival on the nation our victory (God’s will for America) is certain if we will pray.

In Psalm 2 God reveals the basis for every conflict in the earth. People and Nations reject God’s call to come under the Authority of Jesus Christ. He gives us a prayer strategy to turn these wrong choices around and call people, governments, and nations into a relationship with Him.We need to agree in prayer for our communities and government to align with God’s will.

Starting The Psalms Today -June 4-2023

Psalm 1

“Blessed is the man whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he mediates day and night.”

Many say they love God’s Word, but not as many show love by meditating in it. Meditation God’s way, is to worship Him directly from His Word (the Psalms) and according to the information given there. Ask you worship ask God to create a passion in you to love Him and pursue Him, His way… Through Worship.

Psalm 13:1-2

“How long, O Lord? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide your face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul Having sorrow in my heart all the day? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?”

When you “listen to your soul“ your feelings and emotions bring “sorrow” (discouragement). This undermines your faith and gives the enemy the advantage. Keep praying this Psalm 13:5, “I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice inYour salvation.”

Stay in faith and receive God’s grace for your trials.

Interrupt Anxiety With Gratitude

Interrupt anxiety with gratitude has to be one of my favorite quotes because it is a powerful reminder that when we are feeling our feelings, we can interrupt them. It doesn’t have to solve the underlying cause of what we are feeling, but it can get us calm in our bodies to face it.

It’s like the children’s book that’s called A Little Spot Of Anxiety. In this book, the anxiety spot show’s how to find our peaceful spot by counting and breathing when we are in the midst of being very anxious and how, once we are calm we can deal with what is happening or simply see that it isn’t as big as it was getting. For me when I feel most anxious I focus on the gratitude -the gratitude that I am enough and there is enough to share (if we all share). Each of us is a love letter from God to a hurt and broken world.

Gratitude is a reminder to show up as a letter of love whenever we can in an attempt to heal the brokenness around us not to add to it. Every day I like to do my part to tell and show others how grateful I am for them.

True, there are real reasons for anxiety (especially in today’s world), and while gratitude can’t fix everything. But that doesn’t mean we can’t take a deep breath and find something to be thankful for. This allows us the space to deal with the problem and not just the resulting anxiety.

Together we can interrupt anxiety with gratitude and embrace the gifts we can give and give freely.

It seems like we are so into hating everyone that thinks differently that sometimes we feel alone. We need to be gentle on ourselves and remember to interrupt anxieties with gratitude.
