How strong is your faith? When the trials of life come, when the storm winds blow, is your faith strong enough of withstand?
Just as a tree needs deep roots to withstand the storms and droughts, so do we need to be deeply rooted in faith.
Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when the heat comes; it’s leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to give fruit.
Faith in Christ can sustain and protect you through any trial, yet too often we haven’t first grown deep roots in that faith. When storms (trials) come we are tossed about and wonder what good is our faith anyway.
We must sustain our faith like the trees planted the living water. Their roots are as deep as our faith needs to be.
These trees have been well watered, and we need to be also. Deep rooted faith can sustain those fall and winter seasons of our lives. The seasons when all color seems to fade, when we feel stripped bare of all that is comfortable and familiar, the seasons we’re grounded in griefs and trials.
Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in Him. Having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.Colossians 2:6-7
This is where a life of faith begins. Whether you are a believer or long time church-goer, take the time to get to know Jesus and let Him into your heart.
If your struggling with your faith, maybe it’s time to take Jesus outside that Church service every week. And live with Him everyday.
Their are too many believers who only pray when they are in trials. And the rest of the time never think about Him except on Church days.
Jesus is not a religion, He’s a relationship.
It’s time to start that relationship.
To delight in God’s law is to know God’s Word intimately and to gladly surrender you life to follow His ways. This requires more than a study of the law, more than following a set of rules. God didn’t give us a specific set of rules, but He gave us guidelines for living a Godly and righteous life. Living under God’s law is to give control to him and allow God to rule your life.
I’ve been suffering from an intense migraine all week, I don’t get them very often, but every time I review how I’ve been living. I notice every time I have not keeping the Lord’ Law to allow Him to control my life, I get to thinking I can do this all by myself. It is not true in the least. I know I have to trust in all the Lord’s ways.
