The shield of faith is not something we have to speak into existence or strive in our own strength to hold up, because our shield of faith is, faith in a mighty God, not faith in our own strength.
We have an enemy, who wants to stop us from getting all God has for us. It’s no different than any other enemy that Israel faced in the old covenant. God routed the enemies of His people then, and He will rout our enemies as well.
Psalm 2 tells us what He thinks of the arrows of the enemy.
“Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, and the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, let us break their bonds in pieces and cast away their cords from us. He who sits in the heavens shall laugh, the Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure. Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree, the Lord has said to Me, You are My Son, today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You the Nations, for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel. Now, therefore, be wise, O’ kings. Be wise, you judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way When His wrath is known kindled but a little. Blessed are those who put their trust in Him.” -Psalm 2.
This is the prayer I pray for the nations, every morning. We taste the goodness of the when we enter His presence when we worship Him. Faith is the substance of things hoped for (Hebrews 11:1).
Nothing like worship builds faith. Worship brings us into the very presence of God. But we need to understand God’s definition of worship,
- Obedience
- Unity
- Humility
- Faithfulness
- Mercy
- Giving
- Singing, praise, music
Under the shadow of His wings, into the palm of His hand. He is our strong tower.
With the world becoming darker and darker we need to rush to Him. And Be ready for His return.
