A book that surprised me, didn’t surprise me when I first began trying to read was the Holy Bible.
I tried to read the Bible many times and it felt like I was reading a bunch of gibberish. In fact it was so bad, I have given up even trying for many years. But, once I was baptized and received the Holy Spirit the Bible became alive, it began speaking to me and directly to me.
In John 8:47 God says through the Bible He will guide, instruct, and reveal His will as a small still voice through the Bible as a living and active.
God’s desire is for intimacy with His children, we can’t have that intimacy without the Holy Spirit.
