What Language Do I Speak And The Impact

Coming from a Hungarian family, my nagymama, (my grandma) would speak Hungarian and English and my father spoke Hungarian and English, so I picked up some words along the way. Some things I only knew in Hungarian like a dresser was a fio’k and a apple was alma for apple.

I remember in kindergarten my father was called by the teacher, telling him I didn’t know how to say some words like dresser and apple. My father told her I was speaking Hungarian.

When my father cursed he would always speak Hungarian. So naturally I picked up a few of those.
