The Seven Virtues And Seven Sins: A Guide To Balance

In the realm of human nature, we are in a constant battle between our virtues and our vices. Throughout history, there have been many sets of virtue and sin to guide us through life in a moral way.

If we watch the news it’s plain to see we have shifted our morals and the world encourages us to focus on personal success above all else.

People often put money and power before basic kindness. Social media rewards quick attention over real honesty. People’s trust weakens when we stop caring about others. People forget to think about how their words and actions hurt others.

The above image shows us two different ways to live. The seven virtues lead to peace, goodness, and strong character. The seven sins lead to bad choices and harm.

The seven sins above are often called “deadly” sins because they damage our souls and lead to wrongdoing.

While the seven virtues act as an antidote to our sins and help us do good things.

Both lists teach us about human nature. The seven sins show our weaknesses and temptations. The seven virtues show our highest potential. By knowing both, I believe we can work to avoid bad habits and choose goodness every day.
