It is written in Isaiah 66:1, “Heaven is my throne and earth is my footstool.” Psalm 110 says. “Sit down at my right side until I make your enemies a footstool.”
This also is speaking about Messiah. In Hebrews it says we are to share in this blessing. God wants to make our enemies a footstool. In a new covenant our enemies are spiritual, those things that come against us.
We deal with many conflicts, problems m anxieties, principalities, fears, and sorrows in our lives. But our Lord promises victory and peace. The key is to sit down at His right side and trust in the Lord.
God is in the heavenlies so we sit down in the heavenlies. Ephesians says He has seated us in the heavenlies in Jesus. Instead of dealing with our problems from the level of our problems, sit down and dwell in heaven and our problems will be below us.
Sit down, trust and rest in Him, and He will take care of it. Our enemies won’t be our problem anymore, they will be our footstool.
We need practice sitting in heaven with God and placing our feet over those problems.
Heaven is my throne, and the earth my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me? Says the Lord. Or where will my resting place be?
