“To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood” -Revelation 1:5
Atonement means reconciliation bring together two parties that were separated by a broken relationship. Because of human air or wrongdoing, a chasm forms between people and a holy righteous God.
Throughout history, people have tried to fix the distance with God on their own, whether through ancient sacrifices or personal efforts to make things right. However, this true and complete restoration requires more than human effort.
Jesus stepped into that gap. Through His sacrifice, He paid the price for human guilt and for the punishment that we deserve.
Atonement is not about forcing an angry God to show us mercy, it is the acting, loving work of God Himself reaching down to reconcile the world to Himself.
When guilt weighs heavily or distance feels wide, the message of the cross remains clear: the bridge had already been built. Forgiveness is a free gift.
