A Relationship With God

It’s the most important relationship you’ll ever have

Having a relationship withGod and communicating with Him helps you transcend and look beyond yourself and those around you. It help you look for guidance from Him.

Faith is a feeling you either get or you don’t, and in my case I spend most my life wondering why God even let me be born. All I ever knew was pain and suffering. It wasn’t until I had hit rock bottom that I thought well, I’ve tried everything else, and the only way out was up -God.

Every individual walks the road based on different terms and situations, each with a unique individual relationship with a higher power. I encourage you to seek God and question and communicate with Him. Talk to Him as you would a friend. Matthew 7:7-8 says “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

My relationship with God helps me feel supported throughout all my other worldly relationships. Telling Him what’s on my mind, asking questions, and asking for signs and bettering my heart and mind. When I do this I truly open my heart to God. I feel a shift in myself. I am more peaceful and centered.

Active fellowship with God purifies the soul. Active questions receive active answers. When I pray my evening prayer. I ask Him if there is anything I should know, as I sleep show me. When I ask Him a question I usually get an answer. Choose a time when you can completely be still and let God work.

The reason why a close relationship with God is so important and special is because God is outside our physical everyday life. He is outside the picture, like a light preserved for you when you need it and will always remain that way despite the twists and turns that may happen with anyone else. All it takes it reaching out. All it takes is wanting to have it.

Having a relationship with God helps you have the space to fully understand your feelings, needs, and desires without having to feel ashamed and shy of what you are wondering about or asking for,

Imagine tuning in to yourself everyday, communicating with God trying to connect with yourself as well as everything that doesn’t speak your language, trying to connect with all the immense beauty around you. Perhaps our relationship with God gives us the strength to carry on, to allow a new type of live, to always question, wonder and to always understand the world and ourselves a little more.

Our relationship with God has no limits, and no restrictions. It allows us to free ourselves, and connect with the greatest love well ever know.
