Walk or Run

How often do you walk or run?

One of the most powerful ways to maintain a healthy weight, keep your bones strong and live longer is walking. It’s simple no matter what age.

I used walk with about a mile every day with my dog, but she is 16 years old now and struggles to go that far. And I am having a difficult time as well. I am scheduled for knee replacement surgery next month. In hoping I can get back to walking after I recover.

I’ve seen where people have older dogs in strollers and go walking with them. Maybe I’ll look into that.

There is this gal on my trail who faithfully walks her elderly Husky every day… he walks part of it, and then climbs into his cart and she pushes him the rest of the way… I love her dedication to her faithful friend!

    1. I was thinking that, she really loves her walks. Just because they are aging doesn’t mean they have to be house bound. We don’t deserve animals.
