Jehovah Rapha – My Healer

God does the forgiveness through Jesus who became sin for us, then through Jesus, we can forgive.

In Jeremiah 30:17, God says “I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord.” This Scripture says that God wants us healthy and joyful. This is confirmed in Psalm 103:2-3: “Bless the Lord O’ my soul, and forget not all His benefits who forgives all your iniquities (sins), who heals all your diseases.”

He is the God who wants to set you free from the burden of your sins and offenses. God does the forgiveness through Jesus who became sin, for us, then through Jesus, we can forgive.

In Luke 5, they bring a paralysis man to Jesus but because they could find no room to come inside, they opened the rooftop and let him down before Jesus.

Luke 5:29 says: “When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the man, your sins are forgiven you.” The Scribes and Pharisees responded in verse 22 by saying “Who can forgive sins but God alone and that’s true.

Yet in John 1:28 it says: “When John the Baptist Jesus coming toward min he said: “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”

Jesus is the only one who can take away the wrongdoing, the sin, and the guilt of the world. Jesus as the Son of God can forgive sin because He became sin for us on the Cross of Calvary (2 Corinthians 5:21).

In Luke 5:23 Jesus responds to the Scribes by saying: “Which is easier to say, your sins are forgiven you, or to say rise up and walk?”

Psalm 30 is a healing Scripture verse 3 that says: “Lord you have brought my soul up from Sheol. You have kept me alive, that I should not go down into the pit.

This is the way I learned it. If our soul is healed and we are brought up from the grave, then our body and mind have to follow.

In Psalm 30, David prays to God:

I will extol you, Lord, for you have raised me up, and have not made my foes to rejoice over me. 2, Lord my God, I cried to you, and you healed me. 3, Lord you have brought up my soul from Sheol. You have kept me alive, that I should not go down in the pit. 4, Sing praise to the !ord, you holy ones of His. Give thanks to His holy name. 5, For His anger is but for a moment. He favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning. 6, As for me. I said in my prosperity, “I shall never be moved.” 7, You Lord, when you favored me, made my mountain stand strong; but when you hid your face, I was troubled. I cried to you, 8, Lord, I made supplication to the Lord: 9, “What profit is there in my destruction, if I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? Shall it declare your truth? 10, Hear, Lord have mercy on me. Lord, be my helper.” 11, You have turned my mourning into dancing, you have removed my sack clothe, and clothed me with gladness, 12, to the end that my heart may sing praise to you, and not be silent. Lord my God, I will give thank to you forever!

Psalm 30

The name Rapha in Hebrew means to heal, cure, restore, or to make whole.

During times of sickness, we may call upon God using Him name that is tied to healing, “Jehovah Rapha.”

The Importance Of Self-Control

Proverbs 16:32 says, “Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city.”

Self-control is often used to describe a favorable character trait in people. The word is used frequently, but what exactly is self-control and why is it important? It is a trait that only few people possess.

Self-control is the war between impulsivity and doing what’s right or beneficial. It’s the ability to control emotions, impulses or behaviors to achieve a greater goal.

A common example of this is people who are trying to lose a few pounds. It can be very difficult to refuse seconds for dinner or dessert afterward, but those practicing self-control know that they are working toward a long-term goal. While immediate Satan would be sweet, long term results probably wouldn’t be weight loss.

Why Is Self-Control Important?

This may see. Self-explanatory, but it’s helpful to work through the question thoroughly thoroughly.

Is self-control really that important, or is it better to enjoy the moment and one concern yourself with future outcomes?

Besides risking the ability to achieve long-term goals, there are other problematic issues with a lack of self-control.

People who.ack self-control often give in to impulsive behavior and emotions as well. This means that they make poor choices that harm themselves or others and react poorly when they don’t get what they want.

It’s like buying a big chocolate bar, that you think will last for days, and then by the end of the day, you discover you’ve eaten the entire thing. And then wonder why you naught it in the first place. Or a toddler who wants something but the parent says no. Often, the initial reaction is to behave impulsively. They may throw a temper tantrum and hit and scream. Toddlers are still learning to regulate their emotions and respond appropriately when things don’t go their way.

The same is true for people of all ages. Self-control is a important skill to develop because these same emotions occur in any person who feels that their needs or desires are not being met. However, a person who lacks self-control may respond in a variety of ways including anger, physical violence, or by turning to unhealthy coping mechanisms.

Ecclesiastes 7:9 says, “Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the Lao of fools.”

A person who lacks self-control may be an unstable person, prone to fits of anger and unethical decisions. There’s more at stake to a lack of self-control that a big chocolate bar eaten almost at once. It may mean the difference between a person who is successful in personal relationships and careers, and done who is not.

The Link Between Self-Control And Empathy

Researchers have discovered that the same part of the brain that controls empathy also controls self-control. It’s section of the brain called the right temporal lobe. In a study Alexander Soutscheck temporarily altered the part of the brain long-associated with empathy using a magnetic field. He discovered that a person’s self-control was inhibited when this part of the brain shut down.

Rebecca Saxe from MIT weighed in by saying, “For a long time people have speculated that we use the same mechanisms to reason about other people as about our hypothetical selves. So this new study fits really well.”

In other words, a person’s self-control to avoid dessert in the present helps a hypothetical future self lose weight. So I guess no more eating The whole chocolate bar when I have a horrible day. The effects are not immediate, so a person’s use of self-control now benefit a future version of themselves.

In the Soutcheck’s study showed that when the right frontal lobe was disrupted the test participants were less likely to behave selflessly. They were given a scenario where they could take a sum of money for themselves or share it with a partner. When the right frontal lobe was disrupted they were less likely to share. This confirmed the link in the study.

But interestingly, the same participants were also more likely to take a small some of money in the immediate as opposed to the larger amount in the future thus linking the right frontal lobe to self-control responses as well

What Are The Secret’s Of Self-Control?

If self-control is important, what do you do when it doesn’t come naturally! How can we develop this vital skill?

There are a few ways to begin a journey of self-control.

Pray, Meditate, And Be Mindevil

Prayer and meditation are powerful ways to help you reset your thought processes.

Taking time to pray or meditate during the day is a good way of refocusing your mind and giving yourself a chance to calm down if something is irritating you. Instead of getting all worked up about a problem or a bad day at work, offer your concern to God in prayer, as Philippians 4:6 says, “ Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Or consider some form of meditation or mindfulness technique by setting aside sometime to close your eyes, breath deeply and focus on what you can control and how you can move forward.

If you’re trying to stop a bad habit, these can be good options to curb your impulse to do it. Replacing those old habits with prayer or meditation.

Get Enough Sleep

It’s not always easy to catch the z’s that you need, but lack of sleep has been linked to self-control issues. Studies has shown overwhelmingly that those suffering from sleep deprivation exhibited high levels of unethical behavior.

Many adults are living on less sleep than they probably should be getting – some getting less than six hours a night. Unfortunately, sleep deprivation may lead to making poor choices. If you are suffering from a lack of sleep, try to rearrange your schedule to make sure you’re getting enough snooze time.

Create A Ritual

It may seem unlikely, but participating in a simple ritual may give you the ability to avoid unhealthy impulses.

Jesus Cleanses The Temple

No matter how committed all the world we are to God, we have a tendency to fall back into old patterns of behavior, bad habits, and toxic mindsets. It is if we want to go back to the way we were.

Jesus saw this tendency to fall into our old ways when he cleaned out the temple. In the beginning of his ministry, after his first miracle of turning water into wine at the wedding of Cana, He Travel to Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover.

Temple courts He found then selling cattle; He Scattered acorns and the money changers and overturned their tables. Kill those who sold doves He Add to them all out of there! Furious that they had turned His Father’s house into a market.

Three years later, you’re his last week of life on earth, he just came upon the unholy activities again. Jesus enter the temple courts and roll out all who are buying and selling there. He overturn the tables of money changers and the benches a little selling doves.

How did the corruption happen for the second time? Perhaps it had happened all at once. After Jesus cleared out the temple initially it might have stayed that way for a time. But one day, and money changer set up his table. Then another one in a few pigeons, i’ll buy a couple cattle and then the pandemonium and ensued.

The next thing we see is that the temple isn’t any different that it was before Jesus cleared it out three years earlier. In three years it had reverted back to an unholy mess.

This is why Jesus came to earth and died on the cross. To redeem us from our sin. Which the gap between who we should be and who we really are. He turns over the tables of sin, idolatry and greed and instead, Since His hand to and I, And invites us to surrender to our desires, and align our lives with His very own.

Today the world have gotten back to our old patterns of behavior, bad habits, and toxic mindsets. The Lord must think they are they are at it again. Haven’t they learned anything. We have seen in scripture that God is slow to anger, but how much can He diffuse His anger.

Less resistance temptation and keep going back to the way we were. If you are willing to take a few moments and ask God if there is something you were allowed to creep back in your life, as the spirit to feel you again, and heal your heart, and He will be delighted to do so.

The world is where is today because we have fallen back into our old patterns of behavior, bad habits, and toxic mindsets. There is too much sin in the world. Prophecy tells us that when there’s so much shit in the world that has not been repented for. We will have to endure God’s wrath.

He will come again and take all the sin out of the world. Are you prepared.

Matthew 21:12-19

The Restored Years

The promise of abundance is found throughout the Bible. Zach 9:12 says, “ Return to your fortress, O prisoners of hope, even now I announce that I will restore twice as such to you.”

God says He will restore the wasted years, He will redeem the time. Do not look back upon the failed harvests because of drought or disease. The years have been spent in vain, I will cause you to produce such a harvest in times to come that the years of failure will be forgotten. Do not look back. Do not groan over lost opportunities. Do not your time thinking of what should have been accomplished, and what did not produce. Do not even worry over those years that set you back.

God has forgiven and forgotten the wasted years. He has forgiven and forgotten those wasted opportunities. He had forgiven and forgotten those times when you went backward instead of forward. Now you are to look forward to what I (God) have for you to accomplish as I bring you once again into a fertile place abs will cause you ti plant and water and harvest for my Kingdom and my glory in a unprecedented way.

The Lord says the best is ahead of you.

The Lord has prepared you even in the drought and years of disappointment to stay the course and trust in my presence. While you have learned by the difficulties that you have experienced. You must have faith as you have matured in the way you have waited for me,

You will benefit even by the times you failed because you saw My great faithfulness and grace I have extended to you.

We must realize God’s infallible love. We have all witnessed His mercy toward us and it is ever present for us. We must learn to depend on Him and trust Him when things become difficult. After the difficult times, He will lead you to a place of productivity, if you are willing.

The harvest will be great. We must keep pressing forward, and forget those things that are behind us.

Your season of blessing is before you, God will propel you into these blessings so that you will be enriched, with no sorrow.

You need only to ask and trust in Him
