The Only Option

Some people think the Bible provides just one of many options to consider. They think we can believe what we want, do the things we like, and ignore guidelines that seem challenging. They want to choose what they concentrate on and pay attention to the things that sound more attractive.

Solomon, in Proverbs reminded us of why it is critical to be serious about learning the Word and living by its principles. He shared his personal experiences, mistakes he had made, and things he wished he had taken more seriously. And he offered his advice to others, particularly his son.

We all have advice for others, but sometimes it comes too little too late. Most of us are to stubborn, and think we know what’s best for us. I know for myself, I regret not knowing God’s Word sooner. It sure would have saved me a lot of pain.

Solomon learned the importance of having a reverent attitude towards God’s Word, not just thinking about His words but obeying them and putting them into practice. I have learned not just to read God’s Word, but treasure them. And realize they are central to life, and also keep His Word close to my heart. They are critically important truths.

Solomon was known for his great wisdom. He urges us to fill our minds with God’s Word by reading it everyday. And apply biblical principles to our lives, to be guided by the truths in the Bible. It is critical for health, success, peace, and direction.

Yes, we have many options, it’s called “God’s Will.” I know I would rather be following God, have Him watching over me and guiding me, than spending one day without His Wisdom and Strength.

Don’t Stumble On What’s Behind You

Your past is just a story. Don’t keep reading the same chapter again and again while wishing you could read the next one. If we dwell on the past we tend to stay in the past.

Don’t keep thinking about the past, it’s gone and it’s never coming back. There’s a quote that says “there’s a reason the rear view window is small and the windshield is so large.”

Sometimes we forget how far we’ve come, and get stuck on something or someone that has moved on.

Whether we’re feeling guilt, sadness, anger or hurt, somehow what we have already overcome latches on to our present state of being.

The fact is that if we don’t heal what hurt us, we will bleed on people who didn’t cut us, sometimes we’re so afraid of something bad happening again. We lose trust in everything and everyone we come in contact with. We hurt the people we love the most, because of a past that’s haunting us. It becomes a vicious cycle.

We have to remember that the things that have happened to us are not who we are. Those experiences have to ability to shape who we are good and bad , but don’t rule who we are.

By choosing to heat and move forward we choose to not let the damage of the past control your life.

Have a faith and hope for the future. And realize that healing doesn’t mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls your life.

Don’t look back. Your not going that way.

How To Change Your Thought Patterns

Thoughts can move mountains or thoughts can lead to sad and gloomy days.

It’s a fact that if we change our thoughts we can change our lives. Sadly many people just settle from the day in day out doom and gloom of negative thoughts,

It’s quite clear that if you want to improve your life you must bring about change in the way you think in order to create happiness and a sense of fulfillment in your life. A good thing about our brains is that it willingly adopts any changes that we bring about in our thinking patterns.

I wanted to share with you some powerful ways to change your thoughts and transform your life. This is how I went from serious depression to a happy fulfilling life.

1.Change your thoughts by creating positive affirmations.

Affirmations are not always positive. They can be negative as well. The hexes created by the witches are negative affirmations. We can also hex ourselves by sayin negative things to ourselves.

The truth is that most pare given to making negative affirmations. When we say to ourselves “I’m can’t do anything right!, or think we’re not going to success in a particular part of our life, it’s a negative affirmation. Affirmations, both negative and positive impact the neurons functioning of the brain.

Positive affirmations are like mantras. They have a sacred and spiritual force about them. Let’s be clear about creating positive affirmations. They should not be normative or weak.

Thoughts such as “I should,” “I ought to, are normative.

I used to tell myself “I hated myself,” So I began everyday by looking in the mirror and telling myself “I love you.”

Examples of negative affirmations are: “ I can’t do this. It’s too difficult.” Instead of saying this say things like, “I am going to, “I can do this.” “I will,” or “I am going to do this.” Our brains are always adapting to our thought patterns and it directs our organs to act accordingly.

2. Learn to apply full stops

When we keep mulling over misfortunes, or perceived wrongs committed to us by those who we have loved and stood by so sincerely. We never stop cursing ourselves for the mistakes that we think we have committed. What would have happened if I had done this or that? What would happen if I do this or that in the future?

This is not saying that we shouldn’t learn from past mistakes or plan our future intelligently. The only thing is we should stop thinking over and over once we have learned from our past and decide to move forward insyof backward.

3. Let go of the need to be masochist

Quite often we love to wallow in our misery. We enjoy creating self-punishing thoughts or being gloomy and passmistic.

“i will never be happy.”

“i was born unlucky. Nothing ever goes my way.”

“I am cursed to live this way all my life.”

Such thoughts not only hurt the mind, but they adversely affect your physical health as well.

4. Change your thoughts by counting your joys and blessings

Most people take their joys and blessings for granted and start complaining about what they don’t have; or when faced with problems and troubles. Maybe by thinking your situation could have been worse, “I can’t believe I was diagnosed with cancer, but I’m so glad I haven’t died from it.” I can’t believe they screwed up my pay on my check.” but at least I have enough to feed my family until they fix the error.” Begin to see that glass half full instead of have empty.

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance. Chaos into order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a bad past into a good future, a house into a home.

5. Appreciate and enjoy what you already have

A great way to change your thoughts is to appreciate and enjoy what you already have. You can aspire to work on a better house, better car, and a better job. But appreciate that you have a house, a car, a job. Enjoy what success you have not what you’re about to achieve. There is nothing wrong with always fixing higher goals, but failure to reach them should not spoil your enjoyment you already have.

6. Change your thoughts by Savoring the joys of your achievements

It is one thing to achieve your goal; it is another to enjoy it after you have achieved it. For example, you marry the person of your dreams, but get bored with them and soon start looking for another one. This is the most common causes of divorce.

“There are two things to aim for in life: first, to get what you want; and after that, to enjoy it. Only the wisest of mankind achieve the second.” – Logan Pearsall Smith

7. Stand tall and hold your head high in trying circumstances

We often tend to feel demoralized in adverse conditions. We stop and feel lie as if we are bending under the weight of things. This happens both literally and figuratively. You will, however, surely feel better if you try to lift your spirits and also your head like a person.

8. Allow yourself to be playful and childlike

Children are known for their innocence and simplicity of mind. They soon forget their quarrels with friends and start playing together once again. This is the reason that generally they are always happy and smiling. Translated into the language of adult, we should learn to forget and forgive.

9. Seek happiness and contentment in the present moment

Do not associate happiness with future events. Don’t think or say “I will be happy when things happen this way… It’s like postponing your happiness to an unsure future. The better alternative is to try to postpone your sorrow to some future moment as much as you can. The time to be happy is today because yesterday has already passed and you cannot be sure that tomorrow will bring any happiness.

Proverbs 27:1 says, “ do not be anxious about tomorrow for tomorrow will take care of itself.”

10. Change your thoughts by being a master of your moods

Be a master rather than a servant to your own moods. You are the ruler of the kingdom of your happiness. Do not allow other people or circumstances to make you happy or sad. Do not depend on material possessions to create happiness for you. It is for you to choose to be happy whatever the situation. Do not allow your heart to be broken if a lived one has ditched you. If they can be happy without you so can you.

11. Wake up with a resolve to stay happy all day

Resolve the first thing as you wake up in the morning to remain happy throughout the day. Choose to wake up like Tigger not Eeyore. Spend time looking a the trees and flowers. Listen to the birds. Look for something beautiful each day..

Go out for a walk and remember your resolve is to remain calm as soon as you sense trouble coming. Know that it’s okay to walk away from bad situations,

12. Your body is your temple, honor it

Keep the temple of your body neat, clean and well-ventilated. Do not dump garbage of dirty, negative thoughts and toxic junk food init. It is really difficult to remain happy when you’re sick physically or mentally.

There is a close relationship between the mind and the body. Do exercises regularly according to your needs. Go for a walk, go swimming… whatever exercise you enjoy do it daily,

13. Change your thoughts by meditation daily

Even if it10 minute a day, practice mindfulness. Get your breathing right. And get everything off your mind. No one can be happy thinking about there issues constantly. Enjoy a few minutes of music or look up mindfulness meditation on u-tube.

During meditation, your metabolism and your breathing rate need to go down to a level of rest.

14, Focus on changing yourself instead of changing the world around you

It is impossible to change others or the world around you. So stop getting upset when people do not come up to your expectations. The best course is to change yourself or at,East adjust with the people or situations do not like.

Never underestimate your power to change yourself; never overestimate your power to change others.” – Wayne Dyer

15. Change your thoughts by making the best of what you have

It is always better to make the best of what you have rather than pine for what you think is the best. A perfect state of mind only occurs in Utopia and the world you live in is not that kind of ideal place.

You change your life by changing your thoughts. If your thoughts you think are positive, your life will be positive.

Do you believe that when you change your thoughts you can transform your life? What you believe stands between you and happiness.

7 Reasons Good People Go To Hell

The key to understanding why good people in hell revolves around The Book of Life and the Book of Works. The Book of Life contains the names of everyone who were ever born. Those who died without a savior had their names blotted it out of the Book of Life And will be evaluated by their behaviors which are recorded in the books of worksAnd will be evaluated by their behaviors which are recorded in the Books of Works.

Revelation 20:11-14 describes the Great White Throne Judgement, when those who’ve died without a savior are given the opportunity to convince God why he should let them into heaven unforgiven with our Savior.

I imagine that those waiting their turn with Jesus to be organizing their speakers to show Him why they’re good enough to go to heaven

God will be so good in the Book of works why they are not good enough. Then, the Lord will open up the Book of Life and discover, as he already knows, that their names are not there. Tragically, they will be talked into the lake of fire and assigned to hell for eternity.

The problem is that no one is good enough for God’s Heaven. If he were to let us into heaven with all of our sin we would wreck the place.

The fact is we need the righteousness of Jesus, and our surrender to Him as Lord and Savior, to clean our lives of sin and make us fit to live in heaven.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 3:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:23

John 3:16-17 says “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but she said the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”

In Romans 2, the apostle Paul shares with us seven factors of judgment that Jesus will use when he opens the Book of Works at the Great White Throne Judgement. From the books Jesus will prove what good people are not fit for heaven.

Romans 2 does not show people how to be saved. This passage shows people why they are lost! These are not the principles of salvation. These are the principles of evaluation.

Here are seven reasons why people are disqualified from entering into God’s Heaven:

1. God will evaluate according to truth as outlined in the Bible (Romans 1:3).

God will judge everything according to truth because we All are in the habit of comparing ourselves with others.

On judgment Day God will say to those who died without Jesus as your Savior, “let’s judge you for who and what you really are.”

2. God will evaluate according to His kindness (Romans 2:4).

God’s judgment will be in proportion to the amount of kindness that God poured out to people during their lifetime.

God expends his kindness to us that he might lead us to repentance.

Christians wonder why they lost people who seem to have it so good. The answer is that it’s just God kindness to turn them to repentance – The longer they reject his kindness, the more inexcusable they will be when they stand out the Great White Throne Judgement.

3. God will evaluate according to His accumulated wrath (Romans 2:5).

Hardening of the arteries can take us to an early grave – but hardening of the heart, spiritually, will take a ultimately to the Lake of Fire.

If the grace and kindness of God has not led us to repentance, then every day, moment by moment, hour by hour, we are storing up drops of the terrible pressure of God’s wrath that will break forth at the Great White Throne.

God is allowing us to live and he is holding back punishment – giving us kindness- so that we might return to Him and repentance.

Our judgment for eternity will be in direct proportion to the amount of kindness that God has given to us in which we ignored it’s coming from God.

4. God will evaluate according to deeds (Romans 2:6-10).

Standing before God now is the person who says, “Look, God judge me according to my deeds. I’ve lived a good life. Take my good works and put them beside my bad ones and certainly the good will outweigh the bad!”

But the problem with the moral man is that he thought that his good deed would be weighed against his bad deeds or at least be compared against the deeds of others.

That is not the case.

God will take the best works of the moral man or woman and compare them with Jesus‘s deeds. Jesus raises the lame, gives sight to the blind, and heals the sick. He takes on the sins of the entire world and by His death and sacrifice brings salvation to those who commit to him as their Savior and Lord.

No person in his or her right mind wants to be Joe’s on works. He or she wants mercy.

5. God will evaluate without playing favorites (Romans 2:11).

God offered salvation to everyone because everyone needs it. God is no respecter of persons. He shows no favoritism. Regarding the issue of sin, no one is better than anyone else in God‘s perspective.

From God’s point of view from a 10th story building, Everyone looks alike. Without being irrelevant I can almost hear God saying to some individuals,

“You dummy. Do you really figure that you have calculated some shifty plan that will let you go up against me and get away with it? You don’t have a ghost of a chance.”

In Isaiah 28:21-26, the message translation God says “ Then you’ll see that your precious life insurance policy wasn’t worth the paper it was written on. You are careful precautions against death we’re a pack of illusion and lies. When disaster happens you will be crushed by it. Every time disaster comes you will be in it – Disaster in the morning, disaster at night. Every reporter disaster will send you cowering in terror. There will be no place where you can rest, nothing to hide under. God will rise up to full stature, raging as he did long ago on Mount Perazim. And in the valley of Gibson against the Philistines. But this time against you. Hard to believe but true. Not what you’ve expected, but it’s coming.

He who spared not his own Son but delivered him up” Will certainly not hesitate to judge those who reject his free offer of grace in Jesus

Romans 8:32

6. God will evaluate according to how well we’ve lived up to the light we’ve received (Romans 2:12-15).

There are two types of people: Those who have heard the gospel and those who have not. Both are judged according to how they respond to what they know. In other words they will be judged on the amount of “light” which they have received.

Those who have heard the gospel have seen the “light“ but by receiving cry they are living up to the level of the light they have received. But there are many people who hear the gospel and reject it. They have not lived up to the light and therefore stand condemned before God.

Of course, this begs a question regarding the natives Africa who will never be exposed to, or hear the gospel during their lifetimesin Africa who will never be exposed to, or hear the gospel during their lifetimes This is certainly unfair to send people to hell they have never had a chance, and most likely will never have the chance, do you hear the gospel and respond positively to Christ.

Paul teaches us that these people will be judged according to how well they live up to what they know and they know much more than we realize. They have an eternal conscience which guards them as to what is right and what is wrong. They can look at the stars at night and see the universe and know there must be a God who created it all.

In a startling way, Paul seems to be teaching us that salvation is available to us who never heard the gospel even if they live up to the light they received.

Who those who by persistence in doing good seat glory, honor and immortality, He will give eternal life. But those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.

Romans 2:7-8

This idea of living up to the light brings up some intriguing thoughts. Do you know anyone who’s lived up to the light they have received? Is it possible that God accepts or salvation those who have lived up to the light received, then perhaps, it’s best that we not share the gospel because those who hear it may reject it and be lost. They might have a better chance to live up to the light that you have received.

I’m sharing these thoughts above with you because people have asked questions like these many times over the years. I am not declaring any sort of theological statement. I’m just illustrating some of the things in which people wrestle with.

The key is – are we living up to what we know? The answer is a resounding “No.” No person performs up to the level of what they know. We all fall short.

7. God will evaluate according to the inner secrets of the heart (Romans 2:16).

At the Great White Throne God will open the closet doors and reveal the secrets of the people who stand there. Jesus spoke in this often (Matthew 19:26-27). Skeletons will come out of the closets the . Did a long buried in the depths of memory will be brought up. Unresolved crimes will find their solutions. These are the secrets of men.

As a Christian I know with absolute assurance that I will never stand before this Judgement Bar. “ there is no condemnation for them who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).

The way to avoid the Judgement Seat of Christ is to settle our case before it comes to trial.

In this verse, the adversary will be God. He will be Judge, Jury and Prosecuting Attorney.

Christ died on the cross to offer us a chance to accept him now and settle our sin issue before judgement Day comes. If we die without Christ our case will come to trial and God has enough evidence to condemn every person to Hell – and He will. There is Mercy now, settle out of court. The days of Mercy are not without end. When we die our choice is sealed for eternity.

Are You Growing Weary?

God’s word shows you how to overcome weariness with the help of His lessons and examples. No one knows weariness better than God, who humbly put Himself on this earth and on the cross for the sake of humanity. Jesus taught that humility and unconditional love could overcome all things, and you can overcome weariness by taking comfort from Inspirational messages in the Bible.

Let God Help You Receive Strength

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me. For I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden light.” – Matthew 11:28-30

Don’t dwell on how tired you feel. Instead, concentrate on ways you can still love and serve God and other people. Maybe it’s time to start a Bible study. You can invite people from other churches in your area. It’s a great way to connect.

You Can Be A Disciple Even When You’re Weary

Jesus gave us a mission when He invited His followers to take up the cross for themselves and others. Meditating on this calling brings peace and certainly when your energy is low. Open your heart to receive the immeasurable joy that washes away weariness when you feel overwhelmed by daily challenges.

Tell God All About It

The book of Matthew promises that you aren’t alone, so confess your weariness to the Lord, and He will send you comfort. That comfort doesn’t always come in the form of a change in your circumstances, but might just be a supernatural peace that helps you forge on in the face of weariness.

Ask Jesus For Restoration

“The Lord is my shepherd… He restores my soul.” Psalm 23 is just one place that God promises to restore your soul. This is a reminder that Jesus doesn’t forget you in your labors, whether that means healing from an illness, doing good works or the presence of that peace that passes all understanding.

As you sir in the quiet of your home stay still and let His grace relieve your weariness and restore life and vitality to your body. Far from forgetting you, the Lord waits quietly until you’re ready to receive His mercy and joy,

Don’t Be Afraid To Ask

“Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” -John 16:24

As you pray for you family, friends, church, and neighbors, don’t forget to include yourself. God wants to lighten your load and bring you joy. Never doubt His capacity to take care of the needs of all those who love Him and crave His presence in their lives.

“The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the Universe. He does not flight or grow weary…to Him who has no might might He increases strength.” – Isaiah 40:28-30

Your Work Has A Reward

1. Corinthians 15:28 is just one place God tells you that you are loved and that your faith and work in His Name will be rewarded. This is one of the reasons people of faith can leave low days behind them and look towards the horizon with hope and joy. Let the infectious optimism of other Christians wash away your weariness.

“His master said ti him, ‘well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful… I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.” -Matthew 25 23

The Cycle Of Forgiveness

From our birth God says that we all matter, that we have an indispensable contribution to make to the world. Our contribution is essential and no problem can impede us from achieving the purpose for which we were created. And God gives us resources to overcome every pain and obstacle, to heal from every hurt or abuse.

The ability to forgive is one of those resources that we have. But it is up to us to use it. I found it interesting that forgiveness in Hebrew is “mechilah,” which connects to the root of the word “mochul,” meaning a circle. Life is meant to be a circle encompassing all our experiences and relationships in one harmonious, seamless, whole. When someone hurts us the circle is broken. Forgiveness is a way to mend that fracture.

Forgiveness means not merely forgiving the person who hurt us, but forgiving ourselves as well, forgiving God even life itself with all it’s bizarre often cruel twists and turns.

Forgiveness is letting go and building the confidence necessary to experience healthy and positive growth. It is declaring that you will no longer remain locked in the past as a victim of circumstances; that you will no longer perpetuate negative life pattern through blame and anger that you will and said access his strength and love that God give you day by day, moment by moment in order to fulfill the unique and singular purpose for which you and only you are created.

Forgiveness requires work. But most importantly, it requires a connection to God -the Giver of life. When you remember that your birth is God’s way of saying you matter, that you are vital and important. Irreplaceable and essential to the perfection of gods world, then you can rise above the pain others have caused you and find the love and strength to forgive them and yourself.

When we forgive, the circle is again complete and you find yourself in compass by the Hogle of God creation and feel yourself to be an intra-goal part. When we forgive, we have taken control of our life rather than being a victim of it.
